LAS VEGAS, Jan. 4, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Switchmate Home today announced the first two products in its new home automation/security ecosystem:  the new Switchmate Bright automated lighting with motion detection and the Switchmate Power automated wall socket with USB ports and night light. The two new products provide one-second installation and require no integration, tools or wiring for consumers to experience the lifestyle improvements of home automation.

Both products will be demonstrated today in Las Vegas at the Discover Blue media event at Caesar's Palace from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and the Pepcom Digital Experience! media event at the Mirage Hotel from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Switchmate Bright Lighting Solutions Adds More Robust Features

The new Switchmate Bright has all the convenient functions of the previous version, with several new features that make it more versatile.

The Switchmate Bright instantly attaches over existing light switches (rocker or toggle) with powerful magnets, eliminating the need for complicated installation, rewiring or requiring special tools. This new version has a narrower design that allows for multiple devices on a multi-gang switch plate.

Consumers simply download and activate the Switchmate app onto any smartphone (iOS or Android) and instantly control their lighting or anything else connected to an existing wall switch. The "Welcome Home" feature automatically turns lights on/off by sensing the smart phone when returning home or entering rooms. Also, consumers can use the intuitive Switchmate app to personalize their lighting by setting timers to turn on/off lights automatically at preferred hours for enhanced security.
