D-Link Expands mydlink Ecosystem with New Product Announcements and Features
New Smart Plugs and Wi-Fi Water Sensor Provide Enhanced Features for Simple Home Automation and Added Security

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 4, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- D-Link announced today at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas that they will be adding new app features and three new products to their mydlink connected home lineup. The company will be introducing two new Wi-Fi smart plugs—the Indoor Wi-Fi Smart Plug (DSP-W118) and Outdoor Wi-Fi Smart Plug (DSP-W320)—along with the new Battery Wi-Fi Water Sensor (DCH-S161).

"The new integrations provide a versatile set of options for those with mydlink compatible products," said Oscar Reyes, vice president of marketing, D-Link Systems, Inc. "With the new enhancements, it will be easier for people to connect their smart home by adding automation and additional security."

The new and improved mydlink ecosystem products and features work with Google Assistant and Alexa, making life easier for homeowners. The new products are Wi-Fi based and do not require a hub, working seamlessly with existing Wi-Fi networks consumers have in their homes.

The Wi-Fi water sensor also adds convenient and flexible security against water leaks. Since it runs off batteries, the sensor can be placed almost anywhere, and can be set up precisely where water leaks may occur—whether that's under a water heater, along a pipe, under the sink, or anywhere else.

Two new smart plugs help round out the lineup, expanding the areas where people can add automated lighting and adding security through lighting schedules both inside and outside the home.

New app features for mydlink cameras include options like Smart Recap, Rich Notifications, and enhanced voice-control integration. Smart Recap goes beyond providing a basic recap of the day's events, offering consumers the ability to easily search their stored video for events that only include people or pets and rooms.

Rich Notifications send alerts directly to a consumer's smartphone, with mydlink cameras providing a preview of the action and a one-touch emergency contact option right on the lock screen.
