Digital Trends Names Top Tech of CES 2018 Award Winners
NVIDIA Xavier takes home top prize with self-driving tech

PORTLAND, Ore., Jan. 11, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading consumer technology publisher Digital Trends has unveiled the winners of its annual Top Tech of CES Awards, in celebration of innovative products showcased during the 2018 CES technology show in Las Vegas. Digital Trends, an official media partner for the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), presented the #CyberStag, a custom 3D-printed stag trophy, to 14 state-of-the-art tech products. One overall "Top Tech of CES 2018" award was presented to NVIDIA for the Xavier, an automotive SoC (system on a chip) platform that puts mass adoption of autonomous vehicles one step closer to reality.

"Last year at CES, self-driving cars felt like a futuristic vision we might someday feel our way towards," said Jeremy Kaplan, Editor in Chief. "This year, Nvidia came along and ripped the glasses off our faces. Autonomous driving is right around the corner, thanks to the Xavier."

Award entries are judged by editors on innovation, practicality, and design.  Three special "Emerging Tech" awards celebrate the products that the DT staff view as visionary technology. The "Rideable" category is new this year, featuring the best electric transportation at the show.
