MultiTech and DataPrint Join Forces to Demonstrate Connectivity Solutions for Utilities at European Utility Week

New LTE Category 4 embedded and device products for European markets include the DragonflyTM embedded cellular system-on-module (SoM), ready-to-integrate modules that offer developers the functionality of a programmable computing platform with the convenience of an onboard cellular radio all in one compact design, as well as MultiConnect® rCell 100 series industrial cellular routers with mPowerTM Edge Intelligence to deliver programmability, network flexibility, enhanced security and manageability for scalable Industrial Internet of Things solutions.

Cellular: Machine-to-machine devices on display include the latest MultiTech Dragonfly and Dragonfly Nano SoMs and MultiConnect rCell 100 series router, as well as MultiConnect microCell modems.

For utilities in the process of upgrading legacy connectivity equipment, the MultiConnect rCell 500 Series – designed specifically for the European market, this easy to configure LTE broadband wireless and Ethernet router offers Paknet emulation support to extend the life of monitored assets.

MultiTech routers are supported by DeviceHQ® a cloud-based tool set for managing the latest generation of MultiTech devices. DeviceHQ takes remote device management and maintenance to a new level, by providing an application marketplace, allowing users to browse applications or build their own then easily deploy them to and customize them for remote devices from anywhere. Now available for deployment on premise in response to the unique needs of the utility marketplace.

LoRaWAN: As a founding member of the LoRa Alliance and an early adopter of LoRa® technology, MultiTech has created a portfolio of gateways and embedded end nodes that enable industrial IoT applications in a myriad of outdoor and indoor use cases. Live Partner Demonstrations

KoolZone will showcase its energy and environment monitoring solutions for buildings, manufacturing, transport and agriculture – enabled by MultiTech LoRa technology-based gateways and LoRaWAN Certified end points.

Synetica will demonstrate its LoRaWAN-enabled wireless sub-metering system which allows energy to be monitored via non-invasive, flexible transducers, which achieve Class 1 metering accuracy and MID compliance.

New Private LTE devices designed to leverage emerging shared spectrum guidelines for private or near private networking are particularly well suited to heavily regulated industries like utilities. Those on display will include the MultiConnect® eCell cellular to CBRS bridge and MultiConnect rCell 600 series industrial CBRS router, both for OnGo networks.

DigiMondo will showcase a variety of use cases to demonstrate how a LoRaWAN-enabled sensor network featuring MultiTech gateways is managed and monitored at the LoRa Alliance exhibit in Stand N128.
