LAS VEGAS – January 5, 2016 – Empowering people with another means to get help in an emergency, MobileHelp®, a leader in Mobile Personal Emergency Response System (M-PERS) solutions, recently announced it will be integrating the new Bluetooth Low Energy BLE help button into its family of medical alert devices. The BLE button will work in tandem with MobileHelp’s Alert app for smartphones.
The Bluetooth help button is an ergonomically-designed, small, lightweight wearable that can be carried discreetly on a keychain or a belt clip, worn on the wrist with an included band, or can be placed on a chain or lanyard and worn around the neck as a pendant.
Now offered through all MobileHelp sales channels, the emergency alert device uses BLE technology in association with MobileHelp’s smartphone application. With a push of the button, it initiates a call for help with the MobileHelp Alert app on their smartphone to provide full emergency response. This provides an enhanced level of safety beyond other apps in the marketplace that simply alert predefined users – who may or may not have the ability to offer assistance.

The BLE button and app round out MobileHelp’s full line of medical alert devices, and allow for a more inconspicuous option to access emergency assistance – for everyone from a teenager with Type I diabetes to seniors who own smartphones and live on their own.
