Audio-Technica’s Wireless ATH-G1WL and ATH-G1 Gaming Headsets Bring Immersive Studio-Quality Sound to Game Audio at CES 2020

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, December 26, 2019Audio-Technica will be showcasing its ATH-G1WL wireless and ATH-G1 premium gaming headsets at CES 2020. Taking design inspiration from the company’s iconic ATH-M50x professional studio headphones, the headsets boast precision audio reproduction and powerful performance as well as comfort and convenience.

The recently introduced headsets will transform even the most demanding players’ gaming sessions, as the lightweight design and proven studio audio quality allow both esports players and casual gamers to enjoy a long gaming session in extreme comfort.

Audio-Technica’s gaming headsets will be on exhibit at CES 2020 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, South Hall 1, Booth 20648 (January 7 – 10, 2020).

“A compelling gaming experience just isn’t complete without great sound,” said Bob Peet, Audio-Technica US Marketing Manager. “Our ATH-G1WL and ATH-G1 deliver powerful, expansive audio quality that lets gamers experience all the sonic impact of home gaming, online streaming and eSports.”

The wired ATH-G1 (SRP: US$169.00) is compatible with PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and any platform with a 3.5 mm headset connector. Once plugged in, the headset provides a secure connection and offers a superior audio experience.

Specially-tuned large-diameter 45mm drivers bring precise, clear studio-quality sound to game audio, while its 1,300mW input capacity takes full advantage of dedicated sound cards to deliver a full-force gaming experience.

Audio-Technica's experience in developing professional broadcasting microphones, used at some of the largest sporting events throughout the world, has been employed to design a detachable boom microphone. Engineered for accurate voice communication and command, the ATH-G1's microphone will not pick up distractions, like keyboards or ambient noise, with its hyper-cardioid directionality.

The ATH-G1's lightweight design and breathable earpads keep the wearer comfortable through longer sessions, while the mic’s detachable design means the headset can be quickly transformed into on-the-go headphones. The 6.6’ cable’s inline remote features volume and mute controls and a Y-type stereo headset cable is also included.

Equipped with the same 45mm drivers and specially-engineered detachable microphone as the ATH-G1, with the added flexibility of stable, low-latency 2.4GHz wireless connectivity, the ATH-G1WL (SRP: US$249.00) is convenient, comfortable and cutting-edge. It also adds virtual surround sound, for an even more immersive 3D audio gaming experience that places you in the center of the action.

With 15 hours of battery life, the headset will last through the longest gaming sessions – but it will also work while charging. It features controls for surround sound, volume and mute on the earcup.

The ATH-G1WL is compatible with laptops and PCs via its wireless USB Type A transceiver. A pair of extra earpads is in the box for your future replacement.

At CES 2020 Audio-Technica will also be exhibiting its high-quality ATH-AG1x closed-back and ATH-ADG1x open-back high-fidelity gaming headsets (SRP: US$249.00 each). Each delivers a spacious sonic environment that draws participants completely into the playing field. The headsets feature 53 mm large-diameter drivers for impactful sound and include a gooseneck microphone with volume control.
