MobileHelp® Integrates Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Emergency Button with Its Alert App
New Emergency Help Buttons for Smartphones provide four sleek wearable options and works in conjunction with MobileHelp Alert App

LAS VEGAS – January 5, 2016 – Empowering people with another means to get help in an emergency, MobileHelp®, a leader in Mobile Personal Emergency Response System (M-PERS) solutions, recently announced it will be integrating the new Bluetooth Low Energy BLE help button into its family of medical alert devices. The BLE button will work in tandem with MobileHelp’s Alert app for smartphones.

The Bluetooth help button is an ergonomically-designed, small, lightweight wearable that can be carried discreetly on a keychain or a belt clip, worn on the wrist with an included band, or can be placed on a chain or lanyard and worn around the neck as a pendant.

Now offered through all MobileHelp sales channels, the emergency alert device uses BLE technology in association with MobileHelp’s smartphone application. With a push of the button, it initiates a call for help with the MobileHelp Alert app on their smartphone to provide full emergency response.  This provides an enhanced level of safety beyond other apps in the marketplace that simply alert predefined users – who may or may not have the ability to offer assistance.

“As a company, we are committed to providing the best-in-class mobile emergency services.  Whether it is through our own dedicated emergency response products or via a user’s smartphone, we can provide the help consumers need, when and where they need it,” said Robert Flippo, MobileHelp CEO.

The button and MobileHelp Alert App provide users with 24-hour access to MobileHelp’s trained emergency call center operators. As with MobileHelp’s full-service medical alert devices, the operator will arrange for the level of help the consumer requires – whether that is a nearby loved one or the right level of emergency medical response.

The BLE button and app round out MobileHelp’s full line of medical alert devices, and allow for a more inconspicuous option to access emergency assistance – for everyone from a teenager with Type I diabetes to seniors who own smartphones and live on their own.
