Audio-Technica Introduces Its High-Performance AT-LPW50PB Turntable at CES 2020

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, January 7, 2020 — At CES 2020 Audio-Technica is introducing its AT-LPW50PB Belt Drive Turntable, which combines an exceptional high-fidelity listening experience with a stunning, high-gloss piano black finish that complements any music system.

The new AT-LPW50PB is on exhibit at CES 2020 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, South Hall 1, Booth 20648 (January 7 – 10, 2020).

The AT-LPW50PB is engineered for superior record playback quality in every respect. It utilizes an anti-resonance 30 mm thick MDF plinth (base) to dampen low-frequency acoustic feedback. The turntable provides 33-1/3 and 45 RPM speeds and its belt drive ensures quiet, stable playback and isolation from motor and mechanical noise. To further ensure accurate, noise-free performance the AT-LPW50PB is equipped with a professional-grade die-cast aluminum platter, driven by a speed sensor-monitored motor that ensures continuously accurate platter rotation.

The AT-LPW50PB’s straight-line matte-black carbon fiber tonearm is fitted with a AT-VM95E moving magnet (MM) phono cartridge, which is pre-mounted on Audio-Technica’s upgraded AT-HS4 universal-mount headshell. The headshell allows easy cartridge changes or upgrades, and the tonearm is equipped with precision tracking force and dynamic anti-skating adjustments. The AT-VM95E cartridge employs Audio-Technica’s exclusive Dual Magnet design, where the magnets are precisely positioned to match the left and right channels of the record’s stereo groove walls.  Consequently, the VM design provides outstanding channel separation, stereo imaging and tracking of the record groove. In addition, the AT-VM95E is compatible with any Audio-Technica AT-VM95 Series replacement stylus, for a wide choice of upgrade options.

The AT-LPW50PB features a built-in phono preamp, enabling the turntable to be used with music and home entertainment systems, powered speakers, and A/V receivers that do not have a dedicated phono input. It comes with height-adjustable feet that provide isolation from outside vibration and allow the turntable to be precisely leveled. The AT-LPW50PB has an external power supply, to isolate unwanted electrical noise from the turntable. The AT-LPW50PB is supplied with a rubber mat, hinged dustcover, removable dual-RCA connecting cable and 45 rpm adapter.

The Audio-Technica AT-LPW50PB Belt Drive Turntable will be available in Spring 2020 at an SRP of US$399.00.
