STOW, OH, January 8, 2019 — At CES 2019 Audio-Technica is expanding its QuietPoint wireless active noise-cancelling headphones lineup with the introduction of its new top of the line over-ear ATH-ANC900BT, plus the over-ear ATH-ANC500BT and in-ear ATH-ANC100BT. The new models are on exhibit at CES 2019 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Booth 20860, South Hall Lower Level (January 8 – 11, 2019).
The ATH-ANC900BT (SRP: US$299.00) features Audio-Technica’s new digital hybrid active noise cancellation (ANC) technology, which uses multiple microphones and exclusive noise-isolation techniques to deliver the highest degree of ambient noise reduction of any QuietPoint model, along with exceptional audio quality.
The ATH-ANC900BT’s digital hybrid active noise-cancelling uses multiple microphones to pick up environmental noise, to eliminate outside noise from a wider omnidirectional range. This enables the ATH-ANC900BT to have much more effective noise-cancelling performance by responding to and cancelling a more comprehensive range of outside noise over a broader frequency range.
The microphones feature a new digital feedback and feed-forward design. This eliminates the possibility of picking up any unwanted audio signals that could affect noise-cancelling performance.
The headphones’ touch and swipe control system offers an ergonomic, easier way to regulate volume and control media playback in compatible devices. In addition, a switchable quick hear-through button that gives wearers the choice of hearing environmental sounds for safer use outdoors or blocking them for more private listening.
The ATH-ANC900BT utilizes premium internal components including large-diameter 40 mm drivers with a DLC (diamond-like carbon) coating that delivers exceptional detail, transient response and dynamic impact. The ATH-ANC900BT is Bluetooth 5.0-compatible and supports Bluetooth aptX®, AAC and SBC codecs. It’s also able to deliver Hi-Res Audio playback from audio sources when connected with the included cable. The headphones are compatible with Audio-Technica’s new AT Connect app for iOS and Android, which enables the ATH-ANC900BT’s operation to be personalized with functions like tailoring the noise-cancelling for optimum performance in different environments.
The ATH-ANC900BT provides up to 35 hours battery life with both Bluetooth and noise-cancelling, and can also be used in wired mode. Its fold-flat design allows easy portability. It comes with a 1.2 m standard cable, USB charging cable, hard carrying case and airline adapter.
The over-ear ATH-ANC500BT combines noise-cancellation and wireless Bluetooth with exceptional value (SRP:US$99.00). It features 40 mm drivers for clear, impactful audio and advanced ANC circuitry to attenuate outside noise. The ATH-ANC500BT’s controls and mic are built into the earcup for easy handling of calls, music playback and volume adjustment. Available in black and navy, the ATH-ANC500BT offers up to 20 hours of continuous Bluetooth and noise-cancelling use on a full charge (via its included USB cable) and can be used in wired mode if desired. Its fold-flat design makes it ideal for travel.
Audio-Technica’s new ATH-ANC100BT delivers advanced QuietPoint ANC technology and outstanding wireless audio performance in an attractive pendant-type in-ear design. The ATH-ANC100BT (SRP: US$99.00) features an in-line mic and controls for convenient handling of calls and music. Its 12 mm drivers deliver surprisingly powerful sound and the headphones’ compact housings fit comfortably into the listener’s ears.
The ATH-ANC100BT provides up to 10 hours of continuous Bluetooth and noise-cancelling use on a full charge and can also be used with a wired connection using the supplied cable. The headphones also come with standard XS, S, M and L eartips, Comply™ foam eartips (size M), a carrying pouch and a USB charging cable.
The Audio-Technica ATH-ANC900BT, ATH-ANC500BT and ATH-ANC100BT will be available in Spring 2019.
