AccuWeather Debuts Amazon Fire TV App at CES 2017
AccuWeather continues global expansion of life-saving weather information and updates across Over-the-Top (OTT) and Connected TV (CTV) platforms.

AccuWeather Global Weather Center – January 5, 2017 AccuWeather, the global leader in weather information and digital media, today announced the launch of the AccuWeather Amazon Fire TV app. The industry-leading app delivers a unique, engaging weather experience for Amazon Fire TV owners and further expands AccuWeather’s global reach across platforms, as users rely on AccuWeather’s Superior AccuracyTM across devices and locations worldwide to improve their lives.

The AccuWeather app for Fire TV provides customers with patented AccuWeather MinuteCast® - the world's leading minute-by-minute precipitation forecast hyper-localized by viewing location. Precipitation types include rain, snow, ice, mixed precipitation, and newly added hail conditions. Personalized minute-by-minute updates include precipitation type and intensity, as well as start and end times, for the next two hours.

The new app also gives users access to the most extensive library of breaking weather videos, ranging from on-site severe weather reports to in-studio forecasts. The dark theme feature allows users to adapt the screen background based on their lighting conditions for a personalized app experience. The AccuWeather app for Fire TV features customizable local weather forecasts including temperature, wind speed, and more, as well as severe weather alerts to keep people informed and safe.  Available in over 30 languages, the app allows Fire TV users to access exclusive weather information and updates when and where ever they need it worldwide.
