Lora DiCarlo Develops Eight Patents for Hands-Free Sex Tech in Partnership with Tier One Research University
First of its kind partnership with Oregon State University Product Development Lab led by Dr. John Parmigiani

BEND, Ore., Jan. 4, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Lora DiCarlo, the disruptive new pleasure tech startup revolutionizing sexual health, proudly announced today it has received full intellectual property rights to eight patent-pending designs in support of its hands-free, pleasure product for vaginas.  The patents cover features including micro-robotics, soft robotics, mechanical engineering for biomimetic functions, and advanced material science.

Lora DiCarlo's first product, Osé, uses micro-robotic technology to mimic all of the sensations of a human mouth, tongue, and fingers, for an experience that feels just like a real partner. The product even adjusts to each body's unique physiology for a personal fit that hits all the right spots, because there are better uses for your hands.

Five of the patents were developed in partnership with Oregon State University, a tier one research university and the #4 Robotics Lab in the United States. An additional 3 patents were developed exclusively by Lora DiCarlo.

During its partnership with Lora DiCarlo, Dr. John Parmigiani, Research Associate Professor in mechanical engineering at OSU, established the Product Development Lab after seeing the potential value of the sex tech company's 3D printing and rapid prototyping processes. The two organizations continue to work closely together to improve development of new consumer technology.

About the OSU Prototype Development Lab (pdl.oregonstate.edu)
The Prototype Development Lab is located at Oregon State University.  From the very beginning, the focus has been on interacting with industry and entrepreneurs to provide outstanding experiential learning for students, solve real-world problems, and deliver results having practical bottom-line value to sponsors.
