Petrics, World’s First Smart Pet Bed and Pet Health Ecosystem, Named 2018 CES Innovation Awards Honoree

Petrics will be officially unveiled at the 2018 Consumer Electronics show at booth 43774 and has already been selected as a CES 2018 Innovation Awards Honoree in both the Smart Home and Tech for a Better World product categories.  Products entered in the CES Innovation Awards are judged by a preeminent panel of independent industrial designers, independent engineers and members of the trade media to honor outstanding design and engineering in cutting edge consumer electronics products across 28 product categories. Products chosen as CES Innovation Honorees reflect innovative design and engineering in some of the most cutting edge tech products and services coming to market.

"Our number one goal is to help pets live longer," said Ed Hall, CEO, Petrics. "Our system helps pet parents care for their furry best friends by creating a connected ecosystem that tracks, analyzes and recommends optimal health solutions unique to each pet and ultimately, helps save lives through early detection and intervention."

The Petrics smart pet bed tracks pet's weight, rest and activity and offers climate control, all of which help pet owners ensure that their furry friends are achieving the optimal weight ranges and temperature for breed, age and other import characteristics. The smart pet bed also connects to the Petrics wearable activity tracker, which tracks pets' caloric burn rate, rest levels, and other health metrics. The Petrics mobile app communicates with the entire pet health ecosystem, allowing pet parents to monitor and track pets' health and nutrition data, get food and diet recommendations and share findings with other family members, pet sitters, and veterinarians. This critical, real-time feedback helps pet parents catch health issues before they become more serious and costly.

In addition to the Indiegogo campaign launch on November 30, 2017, Petrics will host a free, pet-friendly celebration at a local brewery in the company's hometown of Wilmington, NC.

"Our event in Wilmington is an opportunity for Petrics to give back to the local pet and business community that has supported our vision of developing an ecosystem that promotes healthier, longer living pets," said Kristopher Johnson, Director of Marketing, Petrics. "We are inviting local pet businesses, hospitals and non-profits to highlight their products and services as well, so pet owners that attend can connect with valuable resources that are critical to improving pet health."
