CES 2017: World's Only Wearable Stamina Platform by bOMDIC™ Provides Real-Time Body Fuel Gauge for Athletes
Leapfrogs simple activity tracking, gives runners, cyclists a real "fuel gauge" and feedback to improve performance in real-time

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 4, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- bOMDIC™, the creator of Wearable Stamina Technology, today announced it will be demonstrating the YellowYam™ Stamina Platform with running and cycling applications at the 2017 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Nevada on January 5-8th.  YellowYam, a cloud-based platform as a service (PaaS) for athletic performance improvement, leverages proprietary "body fuel gauge" stamina technology to give athletes insights on pacing, reserve analysis and overall performance during a workout.

The YellowYam platform interprets data on heart rate/HRV, G-sensor, GPS, power meter, cadence meter, environmental conditions and algorithmically generates Stamina, the equivalent of a "fuel gauge" (like a smartphone) for the body. Athletes can use this fuel gauge in training and competition scenarios to understand how much they have "left in the tank" and optimize performance in real-time.

"Athletes want real feedback, not just more data, from their wearable technology," said HsinFu Kuo, PhD, CEO of bOMDIC. The YellowYam B2B Stamina Platform, like the GoMore™ B2C Stamina Platform, was created for all athletes, from amateurs to professionals who want to leverage data to optimize their performance during training and competition, not just see their stats. We believe this is the future of wearable fitness and sports technology."

YellowYam Stamina Platform is compatible with popular sports devices and wearable sensors, including HRM, PPG smart watch, PPG wrist band, as well as mobile software applications on smartphones, treadmill, stationary bike and cycling computers.  Applications can be built for use by coaching and clinical professionals as well as elite and amateur athletes.  Besides stamina relative information, the YellowYam platform interprets lactic acid levels, VO2max and aerobic/anaerobic capabilities, with total 30+ algorithms provided to date. SDK and firmware for mobile applications and standalone wearables as well as cloud API's for cloud integration are now available.

"Just like a driver should actively monitor his or her fuel gauge, athletes should know when it's beneficial to exert intensity at any given time. When athletes gain access to this information, they understand when to speed up, slow down or take a break, and can ultimately perform better in practice and competition," said Kuo.

The YellowYam Stamina Platform and applications will be demonstrated for running and cycling use cases at CES 2017.  Visit the bOMDIC booth to see and experience the YellowYam Stamina Platform, located at Tech West, Sands Expo at The Venetian, Level 2, Booth #45436. Don't just track your performance – improve it!
