Cassia Networks Awarded Highest Honor by Engadget Editors at World's Largest Electronics Show

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 12, 2016  /PRNewswire/ -- Cassia Networks was awarded on the CES stage at International CES® 2016 as Best Connected Home Product winner of International CES 2016 "Best of CES Awards." Chosen from thousands of companies appearing at CES 2016, Cassia Networks stood out to Engadget's editors based on its level of innovation, quality of design, overall efficiency and market demand. Winners were chosen in 16 different categories.

Best Connected Home Product awards companies that have demonstrated unparalleled innovation and transformative utility for the connected home. More than 2,000 companies participated in CES in this category.

"We were impressed by Cassia Networks' vision and execution, and it had the buzz of the show as one of the best innovations to come out of CES this year," said Michael Gorman, Editor in Chief of Engadget. "Over the last five days we've evaluated thousands of devices and products to find the technologies that will change the industry and our lives. Cassia Networks clearly was the best in show in Connected Home Products."

"We believe the Cassia Hub will redefine how Bluetooth is used in the home by extending its range to a thousand feet and giving users the ability to pair up to 22 Bluetooth devices with the hub," said Felix Zhao, founder and CEO of Cassia Networks. "When you pair Bluetooth's global market adoption with a device that solves two of Bluetooth's biggest challenges, Bluetooth becomes a true contender for a universal wireless communication standard for the Internet of Things."

Editors at Engadget presented this year's official "Best of CES" award winners. Along with widespread coverage and exposure across Engadget's networks, Cassia Networks was awarded a custom-produced trophy on the Engadget stage during the final ceremonies, broadcast live on Engadget.com, thego90 app, HuffPost Live and AOL.com.

Cassia Networks joins 15 other category winners in the International CES® 2016 "Best of CES" awards.
